Veena Scialó lives and works in London.
She was born in Austria in 1966 and
was fortunate to grow up in a small town surrounded by most beautiful countryside.
Inspired by nature Veena has expressed her creativity from early childhood.
Her eyes are always drawn to the beauty of creation and she feels that true art is a form
'The greatest artist will not be able to paint a flower that gives fragrance, fruits or seeds, but he can humbly try to capture a fragment of this most incredible interwove Tapestry of Life.'
In 1988 she was accepted at the Academy of Fine Art in Vienna to study Tapestry
and Textile Art under the guidance of Professor Josef Schulz.
Her marriage brought Veena to London where she started a family in 1992.
Two years later she returned to Vienna where she graduated and received the title Magister Artium.
She was involved in several exhibitions in Austria and the UK.
In 2006 Veena completed a PGCE in Art and Design at Greenwich University
and has since then been working as a freelance artist and educator.
She holds regular art classes at http://www.childrensartschool.org
and teaches adults and children in her studio.
She is a member of NSEAD and exhibits regularly in her local area.
Veena believes that creativity is like love, which only flows if shared.
She lives a spiritual live and her daily meditation allows her to bring another
dimension to her artwork.
